Head Start is a FREE preschool program for children ages 3-4 years old. Early Head Start is a FREE preschool program for infants and toddlers ages 6 weeks up to 3 years old, and pregnant women. Click here for a list of our Texas centers. Many services are available for the enrolled children and their families. All services are provided at no cost to you.

• Children with disabilities and families with low income are encouraged to apply
• Free meals for enrolled children
• Limited transportation for enrolled children
• School readiness to prepare your child for kindergarten
• Comprehensive medical and dental services
• Social services for families

All families are welcome to apply regardless of race, religion or culture. Please Bring Your Registration Requirements:  

• Social Security cards for every member of the household.
• Certified copy of your child’s birth certificate.
• Up to date immunization record.
• Proof of income of the past 12 months (check stubs, income tax statement (1040 form), child support).
• Proof of any assistance received such as WIC, Food Stamps, TANF, Medicaid, childcare assistance, grants, scholarships, child support.
• Proof of Residence (rent receipt or utility receipt)
